The winners of the 2022 Barrier-Free Universities Awards, organized by the Council of Higher Education (YÖK) to encourage the creation of a barrier-free ecosystem in universities, have been announced.

President of YÖK Prof. Dr. Erol Özvar announced the winners of the "2022 Barrier-Free Universities Awards" at the ceremony. İzmir Kavram Vocational School was awarded the green flag award in the category of 'Accessibility in Education' in 2022.  There were 1074 applications in total from 114 universities for the barrier-free university awards. According to the evaluation, 84 universities were entitled to receive a total of 384 flags.
