CAREER OPPORTUNITIES

Our graduates work in medical units of the public and private health institutions such as inpatient clinics, outpatient clinics, laboratories, operating rooms, and emergency departments, as well as in administrative units such as the medical board, admissions unit, and the patient file archives. Since it is a profession which is becoming more and more important and efficient, it offers a wide range of career options. Besides various units of public and private health institutions, our graduates may also be employed in outpatient healthcare facilities, private polyclinics, provincial health directorates, scientific research e-publication companies, medical equipment firms, dispensaries, imaging centres, and physicians’ practices.

Graduates of the Vocational School’s Medical Documentation and Secretarial Services Program can begin their careers as administrative staff members in hospitals and other similar institutions, and then they can be promoted to the position of chief clerk (Administrative Affairs and Technical Works, Library and Archives, etc.) depending on their professional success and experience.

Provided they pass the Vertical Transfer Examination (DGS) administered by the Centre for Assessment, Selection and Placement (ÖSYM), graduates of the “Program of Medical Documentation and Secretarial Services” can transfer to the undergraduate degree programmes Health Institutions Management and Health Administration.
